Summary:

Be as creative as you can with the logo, while bearing in mind this is a news media logo.
Description:

The logo is for a small news website, so it needs to be a logo that is appropriate for a media company. Incorporating a globe somewhere in the logo would be nice. My current logo can be found at htttp://www.mwakilishi.com, but I do not like it. I would like something better looking and more cutting-edge than that, however I would like the new logo to incorporate the same colors as the current one (Red, Green, White, and Black).

The focal point on the logo should be the name of the website "Mwakilishi.com". Be as creative as you can on how the name is displayed. Incorporating a globe somewhere on the logo would be nice as well. Also, the slogan of the website is "Kenyan Diaspora News Leader!". I would like this incorporated on the logo as well.

I also need a logo that can be re-sized for different purposes (website, business cards, huge banners, flyers, t-shirts/caps, etc) without losing any clarity. The logo will also need to be transparent, so that I can use it on different backgrounds.Be as creative as you can with the logo, while bearing in mind this is a news media logo.
Additional Information:

Please limit the designs to the colors I specified: shades of red, green, black and maybe a little of gold. Please refer to www.mwakilishi.com for desired theme colors.
Design Goals:

The logo needs to be cuting-edge and original. I would like the logo to incorporate the following colors: White, Green, Red, and Black.

Design No-Gos:

No cliparts or other mediocre graphics on logo. No logo that looks like it was copy-pasted from another logo.

#35, please remove the gray background behind the globe and make the circle surrounding the globe black. "Mwakilishi" can remain in red like it was, the slogan can be in gray, and ".com" in green.

#28, I absolutely love the globe with the arc around it. Can you please play around a little with the name "Makilishi.com" - and the slogan by having different text layouts? See #33 for an example of a different ext layout.

#33 and #28 are very close to what I'm looking for. Wish #33 had some green color in it and had the icon (globe with an arc) like that on #28.

KARYA JUARA, also for #20, could you replace the blackish round shape inside the 'm' and arc with an actual globe?

KARYA JUARA, the colors in #20 are what i'm looking for. Could the m in the arc (above the word mwakilishi.com) have its right side pushed down a bit so that it is more obvious that that is an 'm'? Could you also have the new design have different color variations, that is red where you currently have green, black where you currently have red, etc...?
